For a standard interior and exterior detail, mobile is the easy option. I come to your home or work anywhere across the North Shore and you don’t lose half a day. Paint correction and ceramic coating can be done mobile too, but I recommend in-house for those, where I control the light, the dust and the temperature.
STIKKYS does both, so you get whichever suits the job.

When does mobile detailing make sense?
- Standard interior, exterior or complete details. These turn out just as well in your driveway, interior details included.
- Busy weeks. The car gets done while you’re working from home or doing the school run in the other one.
- Regular upkeep. A maintenance detail every few months without the drive. Not sure how often? This guide has a rough schedule.
- Getting ready to sell. Tidy it up before the listing photos. There’s more in the pre-sale detail guide.
A standard detail takes about 2 to 4 hours, mobile or in-house.
When should you drop the car off instead?
Paint correction
I can do paint correction at your place. It’s still worth dropping the car off if it lives on the street. Polishing needs good, even light to see the defects, and a still, clean space so dust and wind stay out of the pads. If you’re not sure your car needs it, start with ceramic coating vs paint correction.
Ceramic coating
I can coat a car at your place, but in-house is what I recommend. A coating needs a clean surface, the right temperature and time to cure with no rain, dew, leaves or sprinklers. A driveway under a gum tree in Wahroonga can’t promise that. In-house can. What happens after it cures is in how long ceramic coating lasts.
Really heavy jobs
A car that’s been sitting for months, or a full multi-stage restoration, just goes better with everything on hand.

What I need for a mobile detail at your place
Room to open all the doors, and somewhere the car can sit safely for a few hours. A driveway, an apartment car park or a quiet street all work. Mention parking and access when you ask for a quote and I’ll let you know if I need anything else before the day.
A pretty normal mobile job: a family in Pymble with two cars. I do the one in the driveway while they work from home, then they swap them over and I do the other. Nobody has to drive anywhere or wait around.
